Professional People, Training, and Tools

Our service staff is professionally trained and certified to work on all makes and models of bicycles, not just the ones we sell. And each member of the service team participates in skill-advancement sessions with factory service techs several times each year. Whether it’s a minor tune-up, a major overhaul, or a race prep, you can count on us to do the job right the first time, every time. Every repair at Big Shark Bicycle Company is double-checked by our staff before it leaves the shop. We guarantee our work and appreciate feedback.

Estimates Are Always Free

When you bring in your bike for service, we always start with a free, no-obligation estimate of the work that will be needed. One of our service pros will discuss the problem with you and will carefully explain what work should be done, always respecting your choices and your budget. In the event that a repair is going to be more expensive than estimated, or if additional work is required, we always call to get authorization.

If the cost of the repair exceeds the value of the bike we require a deposit before work is performed. Bikes left for unbelievably long times will be exported, sold, or sacrificed.

Walk-Ins Are Welcome

Getting ready to ride and discovered a flat tire? Hit a pot hole and your rim is out of true? Sometimes you can't plan when your bike needs attention. Why not bring it in? If we can fix it on the spot, we will. And if we need more time, we'll let you know when to stop by to pick it up.

We do our repair work in the order in which it is received, so the sooner a bike is checked in the sooner it will be repaired.

Come in, call, or e-mail us soon so we can get your repair or adjustment completed for you and get you back on your bike.

Appointments Are Helpful

If you prefer the convenience of an appointment, we will discuss with you the appropriate amount of time to plan for the service, letting you know how to plan your visit. If it’ll be ready quickly, you might want to check out what’s new in our store while you’re waiting. If you’re going to run some errands while your service is being done, consider giving us a mobile number where we can reach you in case we have any questions.

Repair Rates

Many of the repairs we perform have standardized cost. Sometimes situations exist that modify what we charge, but this list should help you approximate services charges:

Full Tune-Up- $80. Includes wheel truing, all bearing adjustments, derailleur and brake adjustment, safety check-over, and lubrication. Please bring your bike in somewhat clean or an additional charge may apply. Don't hesitate to tell us if there are specific things that need special attention.

Drive Train Clean- $50. An excellent accompaniment to any Tune Up.  We take off the entire drive train and clean all the parts in solvent. Things run more smoothly when they're clean.  And they sparkle more.
