2015 Lapierre XR 529 E:i

Lapierre's XR 529 has a sixth sense for trail chatter and bumps. That's because the XR carbon frame features Rockshox's Monarch RT3 E:i shock that adjusts its travel and stiffness based on computerized input from the movement of the RockShox Reba RL fork. That means you get the right amount of suspension movement over bumps small and large, and go-fast efficiency when the trail smooths out. Big DT Swiss 29er wheels give you even more trail smoothing speed, while Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires dig into corners and bite. Whether at the starting line or the trailhead, you get plenty of go thanks to a SRAM/Shimano drivetrain, and when it's time to slow, Shimano brakes let you modulate or lock 'em up on a dime. Top it off with Easton components and a Selle Italia SL saddle and you've got a seriously smart rig ready to make sense of tough trail equations.
