2015 Cannondale Trigger 29 Carbon Team

For riders who like to attack both the climb AND the descent, Cannondale makes the Trigger 29 Carbon Team. The rear travel goes from 80 to 130mm on-the-fly with adjustable geometry to match. The handling is on the XC/Trail side, so it's quick and maneuverable, yet this thing is fully capable on gnarlier trails. It gets it done with a BallisTec carbon frame and a beefy 130mm carbon Lefty SuperMax up front. XC twisty or all-mountain pinned, it doesn't matter with SRAM's 1x11 drivetrain, carbon bars and Magura discs. The wheels charge just as hard: they're the legendary Mavic CrossMax wrapped in enduro favorite Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires.

    Comments:

First off, the guys at Kelowna Cycle are amazing. They'll bend over backwards to do anything for you, at any time. I was having a hard time deciding what to buy for a mountain bike. With a long history of downhill and free ride, I needed a cross country rocketship that could take the hits if I needed it to. The Kelowna Cycle team got me out on the bike for a demo ride, and I was absolutely blown away. No pedalling effort required. With the ingenious rear suspension setup at the flick of a lever, the bike climbed as if I had a jetpack backpack on. Top of the hill fast, with little effort. I thought I was sold. The downhill came, and with the Trigger in it's descend mode.. The bike opened up, and I was reliving my glory days of tearing up the downhill…. On a 29" wheeled, long travel, XC/All Mountain bike. The 29" wheels roll over anything, fast, giving you complete confidence. With the suspension dialled in for your weight, it sucks up anything you can throw at it. With the flick of a switch on the bars, everything tightens up for complete climb ability. To those who cringe at the price.. You are getting two bikes in one. An XC ripper which can road ride as easily as it can trek long distances, over mountain and uphill. You can hammer the downhill, railing berms, blasting rock gardens and chasing kids on their silly 40lb triple-crown forked goon machines. THIS is the future of mountain biking. I can't believe I didn't buy it sooner. Thanks Pat and everyone at Kelowna Cycle who keep us heading in the right direction! C&C :)
