The Course: The State Championship course is a 12.5 (20K) out and back on Missouri Highways CC and V. Senior categories will race 25 miles (40K), Junior categories and select Masters Categories will race 12.5 miles (20K). Both distances will have a turn around mid-distance. The course is primarly flat with gentle rollers and 5 wide open turns. The course is on quiet, scenic, rural roads that have very few intersections and very light traffic starting just west of Downtown Centralia. The Missouri State Criterium Championship will be held on Sunday, August 11th in Jefferson City, MO.
Categories: Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers per category. For fields that have three or more participants the winner will receive a Missouri State Championship Jersey. Non-Missouri residents are eligible for placing, but not medals or jerseys. PLEASE NOTE Merckx Category Requirements- NO Aerobars, NO Aero Helmets, NO Skinsuits, NO Shoe Covers and NO wheels with over 28mm rim depth. NO debating. Just ride fast non-aero like Eddy.
Directions to the Start Line from Centralia: The Time Trial Course start will be located just west of downtown Centralia on Hwy CC. Registration and staging will be just past the Boone County Fire Station #10 at the intersection of Hwy CC and Rodney Griffin St. Parking will be located at the gravel lot just west and north of Hwy 124/Hwy CC and at the New Beginnings Center lot off Hwy 124/Hwy CC. Please be courteous as these folks have been nice enough to allow us access to these lots that are super close to the Start/Finish. THANK YOU.
Directions to Centralia: From Highway 70- from the east or from the west, take Hwy Z (just east of Columbia, MO) exit north to Centralia. Approximately 20 miles north of Hwy 70. Centralia link with cool things to see and do in the area.
Registration: Pre-Registration is $40 per event. $20 for juniors. Race Day registratrion is $45. Fee includes $4.35 rider insurance surcharge/MOBRA Fee. Pre-registration is available at www.bikereg.com - there will be a slight surcharge for pre-registration. There WILL be on-site registration race-day beginning at 7:30 am. Pre-registered riders will be staged by category in order of registration. Race Day registrants will be staged in order of registration after the last pre-registered rider. A start list will be posted online in advance of the race. If you miss your start or suffer a mechanical- a restart at the end of the start list can be provided. First Rider will depart at 9:00 am. Please stay to the right and make way for all emergency vehicles!
