 The Goldenberg Heller Festival of Speed Time Trial Information: Wednesday evenings from 6:15 pm until 9 pm we will be hosting a 19mile time trial series in the Columbia Bottoms Conservation Area in North St.Louis County.

Course Description: A 9 mile out and back course over the flat Colombia Bottom Conservation Area in North St. Louis County. This extremely smooth, fast course with very light traffic is the ideal location to test yourself against the clock.

Categories: Retro-Merckx, Nuvo-Merckx, Men 1-2-3, Men 3-4/40+, Men 4-5/50+, Women 1-3, Women 4/40+, Juniors, Handcycles, and Tandems

Prizes: The top 3 point totals in each category at the end of the series win medals. Points will be awarded each night - 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, & 1 - for 1st through 6th place.

Registration: $20 for the first race, then $10 thereafter. Fee includes $3 rider insurance surcharge.

What else: Merckx and single speed categories must comply with USACycling rules for standard mass start road bicycles. Nuvo-Merckx: Skinsuits, aero wheels, and even aero helmets allowed. Retro-Merckx: Eddie would be proud of you. All participants must wear USACycling approved helmets. The course will be open to traffic and riders must stay to the right. A valid USAC annual license must be presented. USAC annual or 1-day license will be available on site. A current year USA Cycling Rider Waiver and Release form must be signed by the participant and, if under 18, by the parent or legal guardian.

Mr. Bumpy Face Track Racing Information: Thursday evenings from 6 pm until 9 pm we will be hosting a variety of track racing events that prepare the St. Louis Community for State Championship events to be held in late summer.

Where: Penrose Park Velodrome, St. Louis, Missouri

What: Weekly training track races: Olympic and non-championship events. Each night: 2 shorter races with 1 long endurance race (i.e.points race).

Categories: A, B, & C races. C=new; B=quite fast; A=experienced.

Equipment: Any type of bicycle- geared or otherwise will be eligible for the timed events. The Mass Start events can be but not limited to any of the following: unknown distance, points race, win and out, miss and out, scratch races, temp and snowball races.The Mass Start events can only be raced on fixed geared track bikes that have no brakes.

How Much: $20 the 1st time. $10 thereafter. Fee includes $3 rider insurance surcharge. USA Cycling One Day or Annual licenses required, which can be purchased at the track. Track clinic is $20, but will get you $5 off your first night of racing.

When: Registration opens at 5:00 pm, 1st race at 6:15 pm.

Directions: Kingshighway North Towards Highway 70. Penrose Park is across the Street from Herbert Hoover Boy's Club. Entry to the park is @ the entrance ramp to Hwy. 70 East.

Prizes: Medals will be given to the top 3 in each groups @ the end of the series. Points will be awarded to the top 5 in each race: 7,5,3,2,1. There will also be a $10 cash prize each night in one race per group.

Blah, Blah, Blah: Helmets MUST be worn @ all times while on the track. Bring food and water and maybe a lawn chair. We have had issues with thorns in the past and are actively working on the issue, bring a few extra tubes just in case...

Cancellation Policy: There will be NO racing if it is raining. The races will be called by 5pm if weather threatens. For updates please contact Mike Weiss 314/862-1188.
