Register: Pre-event Online. OR at Big Shark LOOP Friday, June 13th. OR on RACE DAY June 14th at the Riverlands Wild Bird Sanctuary Teal Lot- just east of Audubon Center

  • What: Riverlands Rush Biathlon  – 4 mile run – 20 mile bike. A great distance for the beginner, first time multisport athlete or seasoned veteran that balances running and cycling ability.
  • Where: Riverlands Wild Bird Sanctuary – West Alton, MO
  • When: Saturday June 14th, 2014 at 9:00 AM
  • Why: Enjoy a visit to the Mighty Mississippi and the Audubon Society's quiet, scenic roads.
  • How much:  Individual registration is $45 US dollars. No bartering or rubles please.  $75 for a team…barter with or bribe your teammate. After May 1st  the entry fee increases to $50 for individuals. You will get a fabulous event t-shirt IF you pre-register. Fabulous. ATHLETES MUST BE PRESENT TO PICK UP THEIR OWN PACKET. As a USAT sanctioned event you cannot pick up some one else's packet.
  • Team Entry: You can have two person teams- one person does the run leg and the other does the bike segment.
  • Packet Pick-Up: Big Shark Bicycle Company LOOP, 6133 Delmar Blvd, 63112. Friday, June 13th from 12 PM to 7 PM and at the Race on Saturday, June 14th from 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM

Thanks to the great folks at Riverlands, the Army Corps of Engineers and Hammer Nutrition -you get to test your mid season athletic mettle on a fast and flat run course that includes a mix of surfaces (pavement, gravel, dirt and mulch) on a peninsula into the Mississippi River Awesome, isn’t it!?!  The bike heads out for 2 rocket ship fast loops on the flood plain. Riverlands is a very lightly used rural area….there will be very few motor vehicles on the course! The event will be professionally chip timed by Big River Race Management

RUN! 4 miles – Start at the Teal Lot- head West. Before getting wet in the Mississippi- turn around head back to the transition zone. The run will be a mix of surfaces (pavement, gravel, dirt and mulch). 

Run to Bike Transition at the Teal Lot.  Transition area will have water and first aid support.

BIKE!  TWO 10 MILE LOOPS = 20 miles total  –  A linear route with multiple turns. There will be two way traffic with two turn arounds. Ride to the right, single file except to pass.

AWARDS: Top 3 Overall Men and Women, plus Age Group Winners.

CELEBRATE!Take in the spectacular view of the Mighty Mississippi River from the Audubon Center and the satisfaction of completing an awesome race.
